Stevtrack Anchor Data Acquisition System

The Stevtrack Anchor Data Acquisition System monitors and visualizes the behavior of anchors during installation and transmits the anchor’s orientation and load data during embedment until final penetration. The system accurately provides the orientation of the anchor (pitch and roll) and confirms that the anchor has arrived in the correct position on the seabed. Furthermore it provides in real-time a reliable representation of the installation process and accurately reports the load on the anchor, depth and drag length until final penetration.

The Stevtrack system consist of:

• The Stevpris anchor equipped with an instrumentation package consisting of a load measuring anchor shackle, inclinometers and pressure sensors
• An acoustic modem mounted on the anchor
• A communication buoy (relay station with a radio connection between buoy/base station and an acoustic modem between buoy/anchor)
• Base station from where all instructions are sent and all data is received and processed

Stevtrack also allows monitoring post-installation behaviour of the mooring system, measured at intervals depending on the battery capacity. All data are stored in a file, allowing to retrieve historical data for a certain location or specific soil type. The Stevtrack Anchor Data Acquisition System is available as an option on Stevpris Mk6 anchors of 6mTons and up.
